Mark B. French
Bio
Bedford Bankruptcy Attorney
I have practiced law in Dallas-Fort Worth since 1987. After 11 years at a large downtown law firm (McDonald Sanders) in Fort Worth, Texas, including 6 years as an equity owner, I formed the Law Office of Mark B. French in 1999.
I have earned the designation as a “Board Certified Consumer Bankruptcy Attorney” by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. In order to obtain this certification, I was required to establish my expertise through a day-long exam, a peer review by consumer bankruptcy lawyers and judges, and a personal inventory of consumer bankruptcy cases.
I also have an “AV” (A = preeminent attorney, V = very high general ethical standards) rating in the Martindale Hubbell Legal Directory. This is the highest rating given and it is based on confidential survey responses of attorneys and judges. Just recently, I was rated as a Lead Counsel Attorney and have been featured in the Digital Edition of Fort Worth Attorney at Law Magazine as well.
I am also a member of the John C. Ford Chapter of the American Inns of Court, an organization dedicated to helping lawyers become more effective advocates and counselors with a keener ethical awareness. Additionally, I am a member of the Tarrant County Bar Association, Tarrant County Bankruptcy Bar Association, Northeast Tarrant County Bar Association, American Bankruptcy Institute and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
Education
I graduated from High School in Nacogdoches, Texas in 1980, where my Senior Class named me “Most Intellectual”. I then attended Baylor University in Waco, Texas where I graduated with honor in 1984 with a degree in Business Administration. I received an academic scholarship to attend the Baylor University School of Law, graduating in 1987.
